Benefits of exercising in water
It gives you a good cardiovascular workout, gently increasing your pulse and breathing rate, so it’s great for helping to improve your heart health.
It strengthens and tones muscles – the resistance of the water means that opposing muscle groups are worked in each movement as you push and pull against it.
It improves flexibility, while the support of the water greatly reduces the risk of muscle and joint injuries.
It’s a great stress reliever – the water massages and cools you, giving you a feeling of weightlessness and an enormous sense of satisfaction after the class.

About Me

As a PE teacher, I taught PE in both high schools and primary schools in Wiltshire and Norfolk for seventeen years. However, since having my own three children, and seeing how much they enjoyed their swimming lessons, I was keen to work for myself and start my own swimming school. As a result, in 2021 Flying Fish Swimming School was established. My aims are; to provide fun, progressive swimming lessons to children giving them the confidence and skills to thrive in water, and have a positive lifelong passion for swimming.
I have my Level 2 Award in Teaching Swimming, Baby and Pre-School Swimming Award, Aqua Instructor, Swimsanity Instructor, DBS Enhanced certificate and Safeguarding certificate.
Swim Star Swim School – Flying Fish Swimming School is very proud to have been been accredited as a STA Swim Star Swim School, this programme has been designed to support independent swim schools within the UK and across the globe, to showcase their commitment to maintaining the highest standards of health and safety, business procedures, teaching and customer service. It is a stamp of approval from a national governing body in swimming and an international award-winning organisation.
